Have you ever heard of 'privy diggers'? I didn't know it was a 'thing' until seeing this Detroit Free Press article this week.

Apparently, in addition to their obvious purpose, people used to use outhouses for household trash, such as glass, back before garbage removal service was invented.

The hand-blown glass that these privy diggers are finding in 100 year old feces (it's just dirt now) is worth thousands of dollars per bottle. Do you live in an old farmhouse? Could be goodies buried in the ground where the outhouse used to stand.
