Stay home, stay safe. Wash your hands. Practice social distancing (6 feet between people). The CDC has even suggested wearing some sort of face covering in public.
- CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies) especially in areas of significant community-based transmission.
- Cloth face coverings fashioned from household items or made at home from common materials at low cost can be used as an additional, voluntary public health measure.(CDC)
Get familiar with terms like asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic. Basically, you could have the coronavirus, not know it, not show symptoms, and then spread it to others.
So wear a mask.
And, when we start talking about using that mask to make sure you aren't potentially spreading your germs when you talk, cough, or sneeze, we'd like you to take a looks at this video. Without some sort of mask or covering, watch as water droplets come out of people's mouths. Where they go and how long they hang in the air. And if the person spewing the droplets has Covid-19, see how quickly they can spread it to you and others.
