What You Really Need is a House With a Heated Driveway

"I can make it out of the driveway, no problem." That's what I said after we got hit with several inches of snow over the weekend. You know how this ends, don't you? I didn't make it. It was game over when my front tires went down off the asphalt into the lawn.

Michigan winters can be brutal, but what would it be like if you had a heated driveway? That would be a game-changer, right? We found three houses that are currently on the market here in the Mitten State -- and only two of them are priced north of a million dollars.

Wouldn't it be nice to flip a switch and watch winter melt off your driveway without shoveling or wrestling with the snowblower?

And if you think such a luxury is just for the uber rich, think again.

The most affordable of the three is a modestly sized home in Kalamazoo that is listed on Realtor.com for $499,000. As you'll see in the pictures below, the former owners really like blue. I mean, they REALLY like blue. Check out the bedroom that looks like you're floating in the clouds and the kitchenette with blue countertops in the finished basement.

On the other end of the spectrum, we found a beautiful lakefront home in Holland that boasts beautiful views of Lake Michigan as well as a home theater, and three sets of washers and dryers - that's right, three sets.

These Three Michigan Homes Have Heated Driveways

We found three homes for sale here in Michigan that feature heated driveways.

And one of them (which is located in Kalamazoo) is listed for under a half million dollars.

#1 is in Holland. It's a 5,000 square foot beauty that lists for $3.5 million.

#2 is in Grand Haven. This five-bedroom home is on the market for $2.7 million.

#3 is in Kalamazoo. This is the most affordable of the bunch listing for just $499,000.
