While yes, I do absolutely love classic rock, I really believe "variety is the spice of life" and can pretty much jam out to anything.

When I am not on the job, after listening to nothing but classic rock for the first half of my day, I like to switch it up!

Some of it is pop, some of it is country, some of it is rap and some of it is comedy (think Lonely Island) and that's what I love about streaming services like Apple Music and Spotify showing us what all we listened to most throughout the year.

As someone who already loves putting together playlists, I love that they give you a playlist of 100 songs you listened to most this year and it is awesome!

I just really love how it can almost take you on a journey of the different feelings we had about this year while also showing you some songs that were just too good to stop listening to.

Just looking at my top 10 is interesting in itself but as we make our way through the list it goes from Doja Cat to Creedence Clearwater Revival, then to Volbeat, The Dirty Heads, Rage Against the Machine, Ashnikko, and of course Skynyrd (just to name a few).

My number one song of 2020 really showed me that I definitely needed an upbeat boost of confidence on multiple occasions this year and while I know it is not classic rock it is absolutely a jam:

I love having a diverse music taste and to be able to hit "shuffle" and hear my favorites across all genres all in one place is a blast.

Of course, though, as great as streaming serves are, it also makes me appreciate radio more. Radio is a big part of what gets these songs exposure and I can honestly say I wouldn't know half of these songs if it wasn't for our beloved audio medium.

So, however you listen to your music, I sincerely hope you have as much fun with it as I do!

As diverse as my music taste is, here is a look at my personal favorite classic rock songs:
