I remember a few years ago, when I was down in Dallas. MSU became the FIRST TEAM FROM Michigan to play in the College Football Playoff. I posted a pic and said "I'd root for you Michigan." I couldn't believe the responses I got from my "friends." I still haven't forgotten the hate I saw. The overwhelming response was negative and arrogant.

When I was a kid, I was a Wolverine fan purely out of family rebellion. My dad went to MSU and I wanted to razz him. It didn't take long for me to be around a few of their rabid fans and I was quickly turned off. I turned to green officially in 1995. When I met my father in-law. A Wolverine grad.

I almost died in the year 2000 and U of M hospital saved my life. They also saved my niece from cancer 3 years ago. It's hard for me to hate them. I know, none of the players worked at the hospital.

Plus, I have such bad luck, I will probably turn their luck by rooting for them.

An eye for an eye and we all end up blind... Said some smart guy. I don't want any schadenfreude ruining my life. Taking pleasure in the pain of others is best left to Wolverines. Go BLUE!
