Well, here we go again. Football season is over, and as we look towards Spring Training and Daytona Speed Week, we're reminded, once again, that Old Man Winter and Mother Nature just love their annual rendezvous in our Upper Midwest.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Lansing Area, including Ionia, Clinton, Shiawassee, Barry, Eaton, Ingham, Livingston, Calhoun, and Jackson Counties effective tonight through noon Wednesday. Forecasters are calling for 2"-4" of powder for Lansing, 3"-5" for Jackson. Areas in Southeast Michigan and along the State Line could see 5"-7" before all is said and done with midday Wednesday.

Here's more good news...temperatures will drop after the storm passes. Highs are expected in the mid-teens Thursday and Friday with lows near zero...and, of course, winds will pick up, making it feel even colder. As we "warm-up" for the weekend into the lower 20's, another chance of snow comes with it. (NWS Forecast)

Yes, we live in Michigan. I've been here my whole life. But, I can't remember a more grueling winter season than we have experienced this year. I've heard elders say it's been over 30 years since they've seen this kind of winter hell. At least we'll have plenty of warm weather sights on the telly in the coming weeks. Let's just hope this crap is all gone for Opening Day...
