When you say Wonder Woman, the first thing I think of is Lynda Carter. The second thing I think of is the Red, White and Blue out fit Lynda rocked back in the day. She seemed to be an American icon. Or symbol for American girls to look up to. An American symbol.

The new Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot is beautiful but she isn't an American. I saw Batman Vs Superman and I kept thinking, there is something about her I don't really like. Too much slow mo? Am I just a die hard Lynda Carter lover? I couldn't put my finger on it.

The other night, we saw the trailer and again, I said, "I have no interest in seeing that movie."

My wife astutely pointed out the reason was this Wonder Woman is Un-American. Her outfit is more fit for an international audience than just here in the land of the free. The more I thought about it, she was dead on.

Now, Wonder Woman's United Kingdom premiere had to be cancelled due to the Manchester attack. Some call it the most anticipated Summer release. It will still make hundreds of millions of dollars but without the Stars and Stripes, this is one story I won't be following.
