In the darling little town of Oscoda, located south of Alpena, the Dam Store is now for sale.  If it has been your dream to own your own business you can buy the whole Dam thing.

The store in Oscoda is your go-to-store for gas , beer and wine, lottery tickets, bait and tackle and souvenir's.  Everything you need in a small, local store is right there.    Located on West River Street. this party store could be yours for $550 thousand dollars.

The Dam Store's current owner , Bob Lammi , says " i want to retire.  I've been here for over 40 years and I'm tired.  I know I'm going to miss it, but I can't do it any more.  I'm worn out. " Lammi says "it been a great business for many years.  The store has supported four families for 40 years, and I would like to see the next owner kind of run it like it is".

The store is located near the Foote dam, it's just down the road from the party store.  The Lammi family has been the stores owners since the 60's and before they purchased the business it was smaller and had a lunch counter.  Some of the old menus were found behind some ceiling panels.  Back in the day, you could get a hot dog for 30 cents and  chicken noodle soup would set you back 25 cents.

The Dam Store, if you decide to buy it, does not come with a liquor license, that is something you would have to get on your own, and the contents of the store are not for sale.  That means that you could make the Dam Store into what you want it to be.

Real estate One in Alpena has the listing for the store.
