You Have A Chance To See The Real Starry Night In Detroit This Fall
One of the hottest events this summer is the Beyond Van Gogh experience at the DeVos Center, and it's been difficult to get tickets.
So, if you find yourself unable to make it to see the breathtaking lights and experiences of the event, you may have a chance to see part of it in person coming soon.
Normally in order to see one of Van Gogh's paintings you would have to hop a plane to France. And I don't know if you've looked at flight costs lately, but it's not exactly affordable these days, especially with the price of oil on the rise, you may want to stick to Michigan.
Yikes, so what do you do if you want to have a first-class art experience without taking out a loan to do it?
Don't worry - you still have your chance to see a part of Starry Night in person, and you won't have to leave the state. Vincent van Gogh’s “Starry Night Over the Rhone River” is coming to Detroit on loan from the Musée d’Orsay museum.
It will be a part of a larger exhibit at the Detroit Institute of Arts, which will run from October 2, 2022, through January 22, 2023. The exhibit will offer over 70 different paintings from Van Gogh, some of which are new to the museum and will only be available during this exhibit.
