Although the recreational use is legal, it started with the legalization of marijuana for medicinal use in Michigan. I'm a MS patient and the medicinal properties in marijuna worked well with my disease and it offered some relief. There are thousands of patients in Michigan that use marijuana medicinally.

There's no way in hell that I ever thought I'd see marijuana legalized in my lifetime. I don't use, but I am stoked for those that do. Sadly the younger generation won't ever get to experience the paranoia of buying a "bag" from a stranger in a seedy part of town. That's a great way to learn some street smarts but it can also get you shot.
