“Hide the Rum, the Pirates are in Town!”

My Honey and I were enjoying a mini-honeymoon in Traverse City last week, spending time with friends and listening to some fascinating speakers at a conference - more about them later.

We stopped by Brew for a cup of coffee when a guy at the bar (they serve booze there, too) showed the bartender a pic of a pirate ship that had pulled into the Grand Traverse Bay that day. She said something about hiding the rum while the pirates were in town.

While driving past the bay a little later, thar' she stood! Joey is deeply disappointed that we didn't board the ship.

Still haven't figured out what the ship was doing there  - if you know, please enlighten me!
