ESPN's Todd McShay has the Lions picking Michigan State's Darqueze Dennard with the 10th pick. Click here to see his mock draft.

He's not alone. NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock believes the Jim Thorpe Award winner could end up in Detroit. Click here to see that article.

The last Spartan to be drafted in the first round was a Detroit Lions bust, Charles Rogers back in 2003. So, will Mr. Rogers cost Darqueze a spot on the Lions? I sure hope so. I think Darqueze is going to be a great pro but the Lions would find a way to mismanage his career and talents. The Lions rarely seem to put their players in a position to succeed. My hope is Darqueze is taken by a GOOD team that has a plan. My other hope is the Lions finally have one. I also think they REALLY want Dennard. The guys they claim they want, Sammy Watkins and Khalil Mack will be gone by then. Teams always put up smoke screens around draft time.

Who would you like to see the Lions draft? Who would you like to see draft Darqueze? I also have a hunch Johnny Manziel will end up a Dallas Cowboy.

Below is Darqueze Dennard's highlight reel. I especially appreciate the last highlight, Darqueze picking off U of M "Quarterback" Devin Gardner.

Here are some more Darqueze highlights.

Thank you, Darqueze for being a GREAT Spartan! I have no doubt you will be an even better pro. Even if it is with Detroit.
