That's what claim is made in this hilarious fake video.

I am a HUGE fan of the Foo Fighters. I was a Nirvana fan that migrated with Dave Grohl. He was the drummer for Nirvana. When Cobain offed himself, Dave had to choose: Join Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers as their new drummer or record an album all by himself. He chose to record his album in 1995 and the rest is history.

Their videos are hilarious and to me, they are the best rock band playing today. When I saw them 2 years ago, they played for over 3 hours playing tunes from Tom Petty and their own collection. Dave performed solo at the Oscars for their "in memoriam" segment. The next day the internet was rife with breakup rumors. "Grohl going solo."

Foo drummer Taylor Hawkins made a comment that was taken out of context and the internet rumors ran wild. So, in typical Foo Fighters fashion, Grohl is making fun of the entire music industry. He made this video as an OFFICIAL BAND ANNOUNCEMENT and it is going viral today. STRONG LANGUAGE. NOT SAFE FOR WORK. (unless you work with cool people)

Almost a million people have seen the video in one day. Great job by Nick Lachey in the bit. It's nice to see he also has a sense of humor.

I think it's safe to say, the Foo Fighters break up rumors are not getting the best of them. They ARE NOT BREAKING UP. Never has a band poked more fun at their own industry.
