Michigan State will host Oregon in a night game in the second week of the upcoming football season and will play under the lights at Nebraska.

The news came out Thursday. Both games will be broadcast on ABC, ESPN or ESPN 2 at 7 p.m. or 8 p.m.

The Oregon matchup on Sept. 12 is the second game of a home-and-home series with the Ducks. Last year, Oregon beat MSU 46-27 in Eugene, Ore. en route to a national championship game appearance.

State plays at Nebraska on Nov. 7.

The Spartans have one other night game on the schedule so far. Their Oct. 10 game at Rutgers also will be in prime time. No other 2015 kickoff times have been announced yet, although it stands to reason that the season opener Friday, Sept. 4 at Western Michigan will likely be a night game.

Michigan State played in four night games last year.
