Road and Ramp Closures Scheduled For I-96/US-23 Interchange

The Michigan Department of Transportation has announced a week-long series of overnight freeway and ramp closures for the busy I-96/US-23 interchange. The closures are scheduled to begin tonight Monday, July 25 at 10:00pm. Closures will be in place overnight every night through Monday, August 1 at 5:00am. The entire interchange is being reconfigured and rebuilt. This week's closures are to accommodate bridge demolition projects. Here are the details:

Monday, July 25 at 10:00pm through Tuesday, July 26 at 5:00am:

SB US-23 closed at I-96; SB US-23 ramp to EB I-96 closed; WB I-96 ramp to SB US-23 closed.

Tuesday, July 26 at 10:00pm through Wednesday, July 27 at 5:00am:

NB US-23 closed at I-96; EB I-96 ramp to NB US-23 closed; NB US-23 ramp to WB I-96 closed.

Wednesday, July 27 at 10:00pm through Thursday, July 28 at 5:00am:

SB US-23 closed at I-96; SB US-23 ramp to EB I-96 closed; WB I-96 ramp to SB US-23 closed.

Friday, July 29 at 9:00pm through Monday, August 1 at 5:00am:

Old US-23 closed at I-96.
