(The Six O'Clock Triple Shot is a daily feature of three songs that share a common theme, heard weeknights on 94.9 WMMQ)

We look back on another day in rock history tonight as Alice Cooper's Billion Dollar Babies LP started its one week reign as the number one album in the U.S. 41 years ago today. The LP had four singles that charted in the Billboard Hot 100. It was certified platinum by the RIAA. And, the ensuing tour helped solidify Alice Cooper's reputation of having a strange, wicked stage show. This was the tour that featured the decapitation of Alice Cooper by way of guillotine.

Tonight, we mark the occasion with three from the LP. It begins as the album does with "Hello, Hooray". We keep it on side one for "Elected" and the title track "Billion Dollar Babies" with Donovan Leitch providing back up vocals. It's your Six O'Clock Triple Shot on 94.9 WMMQ!
