Uncle John's Cider Mill has voluntarily ceased sales of apple cider after a random, routine sample revealed Shiga-toxin producing E. Coli bateria, according to WILX-TV.

The contaminated cider was produced on October 17th and bottled into various sized jugs with a "sell by" date of October 30th.  The cider was also sold to guests to be consumed on site in various fashions, between October 18th and 21st.

No illnesses have been reported so far, but the public is advised to have a heightened awareness of the symptoms associated with E. Coli as well as a potentially life-threatening complication known as hemolytic uremic syndrome.
