10 Old Lansing Restaurants Parents Used to Take Their Kids To
When I was growing up, going out to dinner was usually for a special occassion. I can remember going out to eat vividly at certain restaurants. Do you remember some of your favorite restaurants that you used to take your kids to? Do you remember going to some of these Lansing restaurants growing up?
Nowadays going out to eat is more for convenience then anything else. We love to take our kids out to eat at a restaurant to celebrate birthdays and accomplishments. Our family also goes out occassionally for fun. When you took your kids out to eat when they were growing up was it for similar reasons?
Although I didn't grow up in the Lansing area, I've heard the stories about restaurants that have come and gone. The stories are always positive and I love seeing the smiles on people's faces when they relive the past.
For me growing up in southwest Michigan I can remember getting dressed up to go eat at a seafood restaurant as a kid, the restaurant was called Grand Mere Inn. It still exists today. I remember this vividly because it was the first time I tried escargot, yeah, snails.
We as parents and as kids growing up have similar memories I'm sure. Let's take a drive down memory lane and see if you remember these 10 old restaurants in Lansing that you took your kids too. If you went to these restaurants growing up, chime in on the app and share your stories.
