On August 19th at Moriarty's Pub, Chris Wardell will honor his late brother Nate with a benefit concert. Nate passed in 2016. His birthday was August 20th.

If you don't know Chris, he used to write for the LSJ and sits in with Wally occasionally on the All Request Saturday Night. He was a huge fan of Larry Allen.

To honor his memory and birthday, Chris will be hosting A Night for Nate II. A benefit concert with proceeds going to the Michigan Disability Rights Coalition. Local bands From Big Sur, The Stick Arounds and Wentworth and Dave (Featuring Wally Pleasant) will be performing live.

It goes on from 3-7pm and suggested donations are 10 bucks. Checks can be made out to Michigan Disability Rights Coalition. Based in East Lansing, the MDRC cultivates disability pride and strengthens the disability movement by recognizing disability as a natural and beautiful part of human diversity while collaborating to dismantle all forms of oppression.
