Additional Weekend Snow Accumulation Most Likely In Southern Michigan
There are some conflicting forecasts from the National Weather Service regarding additional snow accumulations for Mid-Michigan and Southern Michigan.
The graphic here shows the potential for an additional 2 to 4 inches of accumulating snow Saturday night into early Sunday for both Lansing and Jackson.
However, the actual forecasts by zip code vary immensely. As of Friday at 4:00 PM, the weekend forecast for Lansing (48910) calls for cloudy skies Saturday night and Sunday with no mention of snow possibilities, percentages, or accumulations.
Meanwhile, the Jackson (49203) forecast calls for an additional 2 to 4 inches of snowfall Saturday afternoon into early Sunday. The chances of snow are 70 to 80 percent in that timespan.
