Michigan saw a jump in positive tests for COVID-19 yesterday. Monday only saw 452 new cases. Yesterday, there were 1,052 new cases reported. You can see the numbers by clicking here. The state updates them daily at 3pm.

It's not a holy crap moment but Monday gave many people hope we had bent the curve and were about to move on. There is no doubt social distancing has worked. There are nearly 40 thousand cases in Michigan, while we are staying home. Imagine if everyone would have gone out on St. Patrick's Day?

State officials say the growth rate is continuing to slow down, while the test rate is continuing to grow. They also said there was a 15 percent decrease in virus hospitalizations over the previous 10 days.

Over 3,500 Michigan residents have died already.
