Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year. I love the color change, cooler temps and I look forward to all of the Halloween candy!

Although Halloween is on October 31st every year, it seems like Halloween season starts in August. Much like the other holidays we celebrate every year, the stores start stocking supplies for different holidays earlier and earlier each year. I recall seeing Halloween decorations in August of this year.

I really don't mind seeing decorations for holidays for sale in stores, early in the season. It gives me something to look forward to. I have enough other stuff going on in my life to focus on, decorations are decorations, it's not going to ruin my day.

It also gives the kids something to get excited about. When I was a kid I got so excited for Halloween. I loved trick or treating, hanging with my friends and gorging on all of the Mild Duds, Sweet Tarts and Snickers.

It makes me happy to see my kids get stoked about Halloween. They enjoy putting up outdoor decorations at our place and they like to decorate their rooms. They've been planning their costumes for a few weeks and are excited to hit the streets to trick or treat. I also love seeing other kids getting excited for Halloween too.

I haven't dressed up for Halloween in many years. This  year I plan on doing so. I might go as Colonel Sanders. I'm going to need a costume, I'll be shopping in mid Michigan to find an awesome costume. If you are dressing up, but don't have a costume, check these locations out to bolster your Halloween fun.

We’ve included events, inventions, and trends that changed the ways that Halloween was celebrated over time. Many of these traditions were phased out over time. But just like fake blood in a carpet, every bit of Halloween’s history left an impression we can see traces of today.
