Calling Soccer Players: Lansing Ignite To Hold Open Tryouts
If you get your kicks making goals and not just dreaming about them, then you're in luck!
According to WILX News 10, Your Breaking News and Weather Authority, Lansing's professional soccer team -- Lansing Ignite -- will be hosting open tryouts in the new year. If you are 16 years or older and you'd like to try out for a professional soccer team, this is your chance. Be sure to mark your calendar for Sunday, January 27th; that's when open tryouts will be held at the Legacy Center in Brighton, Michigan (9299 Goble Drive, Brighton).
If you think you've got the skills to join the team and want to show them what you've got, you'll need to register for tryouts before the day of... you won't be able to just show up and show off your skills. It's $75 to register (it comes with a t-shirt) and you must do so before midnight on Friday, January 25th.
Currently, Lansing Ignite has three members: Xavier Gomez, Christian Silva, and Rafa Mentzingen. If you are able to join their ranks, practice starts in February and your first match will be March 30th. Get more info here. And register for tryouts here.
