I did the grocery shopping recently for our family and didn't care for it at all. I don't mind the shopping part of it, I really didn't like the cost! It's been a minute since I have done the shopping and was shocked at how much groceries cost. My wife has suggested that they are expensive but I didn't get it until I saw it in person.

The good news is, the cheapest grocery store chain in the U.S. has 103 locations in Michigan. We shop here occasionally and need to do it more often. Their meat and fresh fruit and vegetables are really good.

U.S. News & World Report has declared Aldi the cheapest grocery store in America. Anytime we've shopped at Aldi we've saved a ton of money. Although you have to bag your own groceries, it's no different then going thru the Uscan at Meijer of Kroger. There's more room to bag your groceries at Aldi.
