Detroit River Walleye Heating Up

The weather may be cold but he walleye action on the Detroit River is slowly heating up.

Captain Lance Valentine of Walleye 101 says that it may be a little slow going, but the fish are making there way through. And not only in quantity, but quality. Many males in the 16" - 20" size are being caught. Valentine also says that this could be the year to land that 10-12 lbs trophy you've always wanted!

Great year classes and the best walleye fishing that Michigan has seen in over thirty years is happening now! Later in the year, Lake Erie and Saginaw Bay will prouce huge amounts of fish. You just need to get off the couch and go fishing!
