First Look at NCAA Tourney – Where Will Michigan and MSU End Up?
Last weekend the NCAA announced who they think will be the top 16 teams headed into the NCAA Basketball Tournament in March. With both having huge years, Michigan and Michigan State made their top 16. According to the Detroit News, after some tough losses (especially for State) what once looked like No.1 seeds for both, is just not going to happen. However, it does look like both will be No. 2 seeds. The number one seeds? Right now, it's Duke, Tennessee, Virginia and Gonzaga.
And, it looks like Michigan State will be headed to the "West Regional" bracket, in Anaheim (Gonzaga's the No. 1 seed there) with Michigan headed to the "East Regional" (where they would have to get past Duke)
Get out your sunglasses, Spartans.
Michigan State takes on Wisconsin, in Madison, tonight at 7PM and Michigan takes on Penn State, in Happy Valley, at 8:30 tonight. Don't worry about the weather - you'll be watching hoops..
