Popular Lansing Area Restaurant To Move Into Champion’s Sports Bar & Grill
After 20 years of business in Holt, Champion's Sports Bar & Grill closed their doors this February.
I haven't lived in the Lansing area for very long, but I was pretty bummed about them closing because Caddy and I used to go there all the time when we first moved here.
It's always sad to see a business go and we all know that change can be difficult, but the building will now be home to Gravity Smokehouse & BBQ.
According to the Lansing State Journal, owners of the restaurant, Bruce Kring and James Stine, are excited to move their business to a bigger location. The new building will give them the opportunity to allow more indoor seating, expand their menu and add a full bar.
Expansion plans
Kring and Stine are hoping to reopen their doors next month. Kring tells Lansing State Journal that everything depends on the COVID-19 restrictions.
We are trying to time it correctly. We’re keeping an eye on COVID and hoping there aren’t any setbacks or any more lockdowns.
Because this building is larger than the building Gravity Smokehouse currently resides in, the seating will go up to 150 people.
New menu items will also be available upon expansion like appetizers and half-pound brisket burgers. A full bar will be included with 30 beers on tap and specialty cocktails. If you're interested in checking out Gravity Smokehouse's current menu, you can visit their website.
