Halloween Links 5K Run/Walk Will Be a Scary Good Time

What's better than a race? A race on Halloween that has events for the whole family once you're done running!

For all you runners out there (or anyone who likes to go for a leisurely stroll through a beautiful golf course), mark your calendars because the Halloween Links 5k Run/Walk and the 1 Mile Halloween Fun Run are coming up on October 27, 2019 at the Forest Akers East golf course on Michigan State University's campus.

In addition to the races, they also have other events that you can compete in to win prizes, including:

• Costume Contest - Dress up in your favorite costume. After all, it is Halloween!
• Long Drive Contest - Race participants will be able to hit two golf balls in a long drive competition using the Trackman ball tracking system (at no extra cost). The two racers with the longest drive and the one with the shortest drive will win a gift card that is valid at any Spartan Spirit Shop on campus.
• Closest to Pin Contest – After the run, race participants will be able to hit two golf balls from 100 yards away (at no extra cost). The closest to the pin and the furthest from the pin will win a gift card that valid at any Spartan Spirit Shop on campus.

Come and enjoy these awesome contests and other great family-friendly activities after the race! You can also grab a drink and something to eat from the beverage and food tents.
