If you live in Lansing and drive up and down Cedar on occasion, you have driven past this place. If you've never taken a moment to stop by and check it out, shame on you. You don't know what you've been missing and cheating yourself out of.
It's a two for one you really need visit as soon as you can.
Allow me to first introduce you to MEXITREATS (MEXICONE).
The menu says it all. Fruits. Eats. Sweets.
We're talking everything from Elote (Mexican street corn) to crazy fruit combinations (with plenty of Tajin) to churro dips and mangonadas.
Everything is delicious and the folks working are some of the sweetest and kindest ladies. They put up with my subpar Spanish and were so nice and helpful.
I got this.
I had to try the Esquites Vaso (pretty much Mexican street corn in a cup) and the Mexi Cup with watermelon, lime, and Tajin. I forgot to ask what syrup they also used but it was all delicious.
Mexitreats is just the beginning because they are located next door to this.
Welcome to Don Pancho Market.
You can order food to go, get fresh produce, and there's even a meat department in the back.
If you're making authentic Mexican dishes and you need real Mexican spices, behold.
You really need to stop by the corner of Cedar and Riley in Lansing and check out both of these amazing hidden gems.
Keep looking and scrolling. We've got a full gallery of photos from Mexitreats and Don Pancho Market below.
