Hepatitis A Confirmed at Two Michigan Restaurants
If you did any traveling in November to Birch Run or Grand Blanc and ate at a KFC, you should know that you may be at risk for Heptatitis A. Health officials say that anyone who consumed any food or drinks at the KFC located on Birch Run Road in Birch Run between November 14th through the 16th may have been exposed to hepatitis A. Also, anyone who visited the KFC on Dort Highway in Grand Blanc may also be at risk. Two different locations are at risk because the employee who was diagnosed with Hepatitis A worked at both of the KFC locations.
According to the Detroit Free Press, anyone who thinks that they might be at risk can call the Genesee County Health Department Hepatitis A Telephone Hotline number at 810- 257-3048, or the Saginaw County Health Department at (989) 758-3840 to make an appointment to get treated.
