Reports from both WLNS.com and LSJ.com indicate that Mason High School was placed on lockdown early Tuesday afternoon as authorities search for a man who escaped from a Kalamazoo Area halfway house.

U.S. Marshals, along with Mason Police Department, are searching for Michael Gordon Raymond. According to the LSJ.com article, Raymond is 33-years old and was serving time after being convicted of federal firearms charges. He was reportedly seen walking railroad tracks through Mason today. It's unknown if he is carrying weapons or poses a public threat. Officials lifted the lockdown at Mason High School around 1:30 PM Tuesday.
