I-96/US-127 Interchange Work In Lansing Delayed Until Tuesday

The Michigan Department of Transportation has pushed back a construction project at one of the Lansing Area's busiest freeway interchanges by one day..

The project originally scheduled for Monday, will now begin Tuesday, June 18 at 9:00 AM Monday morning. The left shoulder on Westbound I-96 at the US-127 interchange will be closed. Also, the right lane of I-96 between the Northbound and Southbound US-127 interchange ramps will be closed. The left lane of Southbound US-127 will be closed at I-96. And, the interchange ramp from Westbound I-96 to Southbound US-127 will be completely closed to traffic.

The maintenance closures, as they are labeled at MI Drive, are expected to be completed by 3:00 PM Tuesday afternoon.
