If You Owe Child Support – Don’t Count On A Stimulus Check

I don't think this comes as a surprise. If you are currently behind on your child support payments, your stimulus check will be used toward what you owe. If you don't owe the full amount of your stimulus check, you will get the remainder - once your owed debt is made good.

Like I said, if you owe - this is not new information. The same thing happens with income tax money. If you don't pay your child support - you don't see your tax return. If you are owed child support, according to ABC 12, you could recieve the owed child support as early as next week.
