A Meteor Streaked Across the Michigan Sky Last Night
Ingham County Office of Homeland Security & Management posted this on their Facebook page in regards to numerous calls last night about the end times...or aliens...or incoming missiles....:
"Multiple 911 calls are coming of a meteor fireball that passed overhead. There is no need to call 911. It's a natural meteor fireball."
The National Weather Service has not yet confirmed that the bright light and big boom was a meteor, despite reports and several videos they've received of the light streaking across the evening sky.
WDIV TV Detroit reported that the U.S. Geological Survey confirmed that a 2.0 magnitude 'earthquake' was triggered by the impact of a meteorite just after 8:00 PM yesterday.
