Ingham County Jail Inmate Death Reported

WILX.com is reporting that an inmate at the Ingham County Jail has died. The inmate is named as Christopher Martin, a 41-year old Lansing resident.

Martin was arrested Tuesday after failing to appear in court for assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. After his video arraignment Thursday, jail officials found him unconscious, and he died friday at a local hospital.

Officials believe that he likely died from a medical issue, as no signs of distress were shown.
