Lansing Made and River Town Adventures are hosting the first 'Lansing Made 517 Day' this afternoon/evening (get it - May 17...5/17...the Lansing area code is 517...).

The family friendly event starts at 4:00 PM and goes until 7:00 PM at the Lansing City Market.

There will be food vendors, live Classic Rock from Mark Grinnell and other live music, interactive art exhibits - and it sounds like a superhero or two might show up for the festivities!

The Lansing State Journal reports that there will also be a a Civil War re-enactor, pedal bike tours, storytelling by Munchkin Music Makers and a LOT more.

And next door at Cooley Law School Stadium, the Lansing Lugnuts will be aiming for their 9th straight win - game time is 7:05 PM, just after the festivities wrap up at the Lansing City Market.

Tonight is Labatt Thirsty Thursday at the downtown Lansing ballpark, with $2 beer and wine, half off craft beers. You can also do the Beer Run at the ballpark from 5:00-5:45 PM where you drink a beer, run a quarter mile. Drink a beer, run a quarter mile. Repeat. Four beers, one mile.
