Love To Sing? Try It At Lansing’s Favorite Karaoke Bars

Karaoke is something that people love to do in Lansing. If you sing your butt off in the shower or car, you'll probably love doing some karaoke. Lansing has some fun venues for you to showcase your singing talents while singing your favorite song.

What Motivated Me To Write This?

This past weekend a friend of mine was out of town visiting some people in his hometown. I came across a video of my friend on FB of him singing "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy". Two things happened in this moment for me. One, holy cow that dude can sing! Two, I like to sing and it's been years since I have done karaoke and it might be time to sing some tunes.

I don't get nervous about crowds or talking on a mic, singing on the otherhand is a different game. I get nervous before I sing karaoke, the secret is out. I'm looking forward to the hecklers in the crowd.

Who even does karoke anymore in Lansing?

I might be way off here, but karaoke seems like it went thru a big phase where everybody and their cousin wanted to perform. Then there was a lull with karaoke in mid Michigan. Karaoke is alive and well and it's time to get your group of friends, enemies, coworkers, cousins, aunts, godparents and the dog to come out to watch you perform.

High Caliber rules and they offer karaoke on Fridays from 7-11 p.m. There is a legit stage and sound system. If you don't sound good, that's on you.

One of E.L.'s favorite barts has karaoke on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays beginning at 9 p.m.

You can never go wrong at the Green Door! Check out karaoke on Thursdays 8 p.m.-midnight.

Try something fun on Wednesdays from 7-10 p.m.

Make it a late night on Thursdays from 10 p.m.-1 a.m.

Grab some grub and sing on Tuesdays 7-10 p.m.
