Man Killed While Crossing Waverly Road in Lansing

We heard early this morning that both southbound lanes of Waverly Road in Lansing were closed near I-496 just before 6 AM.

We've since learned that a man was fatally struck by a vehicle at 5:45 AM while walking across Waverly Road. The man driving the vehicle was reportedly not injured.

WILX TV 10 reports that one lane of Waverly in both directions are still closed while authorities piece together the incident.
