Metallica Coming To Detroit In July

The rumors have been swirling for months about Metallica touring North America in support of their 2016 Hardwired...To Self Destruct LP. Monday, The Detroit Free Press  reported the announcement of the WorldWired Tour, with a date booked in downtown Detroit at Comerica Park on July 12.

The tour is the first full-on run for Metallica in eight years. Detroit is one show of 25. Active rock acts Avenged Sevenfold and Volbeat will be joining them as supporting acts.

Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, February 17 at 10:00 AM. Prices have not been announced yet. There is special pre-sale options for members of Metallica's fan clubs. Visit the full story from the Detroit Free Press here for details.
