According to a report from The Washington Post, starting today, Michigan will become the first state to ban flavored e-cigarettes. The report says that Governor Whitmer said that the ban was needed to "protect young people from the potentially harmful effects of vaping." The ban reportedly includes vaping products that use sweet and fruity flavors as well as mint and menthol ones. However, it does not cover tobacco-flavored e-cigarettes.

The new ban will go into effect immediately and will include in store sales and online sales as well. The ban will reportedly last for six months while lawmakers attempt to implement a permanent bill. Businesses in Michigan have 30 days to comply with the new ban. Click here to read more.
