I remember seeing a movie when I was a kid and they asked the star where he was from. He said "Detroit." The foreigner he was talking to made his hand like a gun and said "Detroit! Bang! Bang!" For years that was all Detroit was known for. When I was in Amsterdam and said I was from Michigan, you would have to tell them Detroit so they would know what you were talking about. Detroit has been known for years as the murder capital of the U.S. or one of the nations most dangerous cities, even though the population has shrunk significantly. That is dedication for you.

Now, Michigan is known for crappy roads as much as the murder. Swifty.com did a story about what each of the 50 states are worst at. Go figure, the bad Michigan roads have now passed murder as what our state is the worst at. Click here to see the list.

What do you think is the worst road in Michigan? I was driving on M21 a few weeks ago from Ovid to Owosso and it was hands down, the worst highway I have ever driven on. It wasn't even potholes. It was like speed bumps in the road that felt like they were sending your car airborne. It's killing our murder reputation and tourism.
