WLNS.com reports that MSU defensive lineman Demetrius Cooper has cleared up a potential bond violation first reported last week. Cooper is currently on probation. A part of his plea deal in connection with spitting in the face of an East Lansing Code and Parking Enforcement officer.

The assault charge will be dropped once Cooper successfully completes the terms of his probation and plea deal. One of those conditions is to not possess or consume alcohol. Social media showed Cooper "in the presence" of alcohol last week. But, Cooper's attorney convinced a judge that he did not consume any alcohol and was only in possession of two bottles for a short amount of time, according to eyewitnesses.

Though Cooper will not face additional probation or jail time from this incident, he will have to sub,it to more frequent testing.
