You’ll Love These Michigan Towns For Live Music Every Week

Live music brings people together. Live music also gives folks a chance to let their hair down & dance, have fun and enjoy some tunes. Live music happens every week in mid Michigan and these shows are FREE.

There are many communities in Michigan that are tightly knit. These communities work together in times of need, tragedy, good times and bad. Getting a group of residents from your town or visitors from another town together for fun is exactly what our towns, cities and communities need. Live music is part of the glue that engages these towns.

A few years ago I emceed my first event at the Lake Lansing Bandshell, they provide live music every Friday night at Lake Lansing Park South. It was really cool to see people of all ages come out for a fun night no matter the genre of music being performed. I have emceed this event the past couple of years and look forward to hosting the final night of FREE shows coming up on August 25th.

If you go out to any of these shows make sure you bring your dancing shoes and your wallet. Why the wallet? Although the shows are free, concessions will cost you a minimal fee to satisfy your belly and your thirst.

We are really good at talking ourselves out of doing things. Let's do a better job of talking ourselves INTO doing things. Heading out to one of these community concerts could be the start.

Communities With Free Live Music Each Week

Head out to Lake Lansing Park - South for free tunes on Friday nights! Bring your lawn chair and have a blast!

Laingsburg Summer Concert Series! Shows are weekly on Thursday evenings from 7p - 9p at McClintock Park.

Summer Concerts on the Square! Visit downtown Charlotte for live music every Thursday starting at 6:30pm.

Music In The Park! Take a trip to Grand Ledge to enjoy free, live music every Thursday night from 7p - 9p at Jaycee Park.

Delta Township Music in the Park. Check out live music on the third Tuesday each month this summer at Sharp Park, shows start at 7p.

Wednesday Night Free Concerts! LIVE bands will perform from 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm throughout the summer months in conjunction with the Wednesday Farmers' Market, from June - September. It's located on the north end of the Meridian Mall parking lot.
