WILX.com is reporting that Michigan State University's Abrams Planetarium will be closed until September for renovations. The planetarium will install new interactive, touch screen displays, other electronic signage, and will improve its accessibility for handicapped visitors. WILX reports that it is all possible thanks to a $4,500 grant from the Dart Foundation.

The improvements coincide with the planetarium's off-season. The 2016-17 show season is scheduled to open on September 23.
