I think I'm the only Netflix customer that doesn't share their password information with family and friends. Seriously, I know so many people that binge-watch shows all the time,  yet, they don't even have their own account.

According to Independent, Netflix’s chief product officer was asked during a recent Q3 2019 earnings interview about how the company plans to address password sharing without “alienating a certain portion of its user base”.

While they don't have big plans to announce immediately, he said they'll continue to monitor as they are looking at the situation. So, you're okay for the time being but at some point, they're going to start cracking down hard and it's more than likely going to be sooner rather than later.

In past reports that we've seen over the years, the practice of sharing your password with family and friends is basically costing the company millions of dollars.

I've been a Netflix subscriber for so many years. Hell, I remember back in the early 2000s when they would deliver my rentals through the mail.

Still to this day, I've never shared my password with anyone. I'm sure it's only due to the fact that I can't remember it in the first place.
