Nissan Announces Recall of 54,000 Vehicles

According to WILX.com, automaker Nissan is recalling 54,000 vehicles due to an airbag issue. Nissan is reportedly recalling 2012 Versa models, saying that a faulty connector pin in the airbag system may inadvertently trigger deployment in seat-mounted and curtain airbags if a door is slammed too hard.

According to cars.com, degradation of the sensor on the 2012 models is likely to blame for the issue.
