Okemos Catholic Priest Could Be Facing Charges

The Lansing State Journal is reporting that the Reverend Jonathan Wehrle, the pastor at St. Martha Parish on Grand River Avenue in Okemos, is cooling his heels on administrative leave while authorities look into what looks like the embezzlement of a large amount of money from the church.

The Catholic Diocese of Lansing reportedly alerted Michigan State Police of the disappearance of monies a couple of weeks ago.
