Chad Stokes was ten years old when he caught a Vermont record-setting carp back in April - the beast weighed in at 33.25 pounds, as noted by a bait and tackle shop in New York.

The Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department put the whopper in the books back last month, breaking the previous record by a quarter pound.

According to The Rutland Herald, Shawn Good from the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department calls Chad Stokes a “fishing maniac” - that's because the kid has landed the most trophy fish in Vermont state’s Master Angler Program.
