With the NHL Draft behind them, the Detroit Red Wings have made other roster moves in advance of free agency beginning this coming weekend.

The team announced on Thursday that the team has re-signed restricted free agent forwards Adam Erne and former MSU Spartan Taro Hirose (pictured).  Both are one-year deals.

These signings are in addition to the recent signings of forwards Dominic Turgeon and Sam Gagner (who they traded for during the last regular season).  As well as the waiving of former Spartan, Justin Abdelkader.

The Wings have also announced that restricted free agent forwards Christoffer Ehn and Brendan Perlini, as well as defenseman Madison Bowey, did not receive qualifying offers and will become unrestricted free agents.

With Thursday's signings, the team has 16 skaters signed for next season.  They still have three restricted free agents to sign in forwards Anthony Mantha, All-Star Tyler Bertuzzi, and Dmytro Timashov.  They are expected to sign all three.
