It's a sad fact about the Detroit Lions, the coach who has the most wins in the history of the organization, Wayne Fontes, has a losing record. 66-67. He was the last ocach to win a playoff game AND win a division title.

The internet and sports heads are reporting the Lions will hire a former player, Dan Campbell to be the 30th head coach in team history.

He played for the Lions in 2008 when they went 0-16, so he knows how bad this team can be. The 44 year-old has never been a coordinator on the NFL level.

He has some head coaching experience going 5-7 for the Dolphins back in 2015 after they fired Joe Philbin as head coach. Most recently he has been an assistant head coach with the Saints. New Orleans was just eliminated from the playoffs yesterday.

The Lions view him as a motivator who will bring the team together according to team president Rod Wood. They still have to strike an accord but that is unlikely to be an issue. Your next head coach of the Detroit Lions will be Dan Campbell.

The Lions hired Brad Holmes away from the Rams to be their next general manager last week. Now, the future of the Detroit Lions organization is in the hands of 2 fresh faces.

May God have mercy on their souls.
